The Asia Pacific Satellite Data Services Market would witness market growth of 27.1% CAGR during the forecast period (2020-2026).

The infrastructure of transport is focused on data communication. This can become much more effective with the addition of satellite technology and create increased opportunities for innovation. Both vehicles and infrastructure must share large quantities of data to respond instantly to changes. It may be isolated or distant from, for example, transport hubs. In order to ensure consistent and efficient data transmission, satellite communication systems must be employed. This involves remote areas and times/locations where there are little or no terrestrial communications.

Technologies including the internet of things, like public transport networks, are set to be updated in the coming years. Bus schedules are not going to work like they do nowadays. For example, users send a signal to the bus about when and where they collect them. In order to pick up the passenger, the nearest automobile would change its route.
Satellite technology would also allow public transport to be continuously maintained and operated. For example, trains would be able to send data to the local transmission center notifying the specific carriages of the need for help. For instance, if a car on a train is overused or maintenance is required, the vehicle can alert the transfer hub before a problem occurs. It will make public transport more effective and at the same time reduce operational costs.
